I raced home from work to get my kit on and the bike out then looked at the map for 10 mins. I've only lived in york for a month and I didn't really know where to go so... pateley bridge it had to be (top riding routes map book high lighted a good stretch of road eah way

)

got to pateley bridge and had a late lunch as you can see below (minus chicken salad sandwich)...

Beef hulahoops and ah-maz-ing carrot cake

took 2 more pics of my bike and came back through ripon on the b6265

first proper ride I've had in ages and I feel great for it now.

Great to get out isnt it? I went for my first "for the hell of it" ride of the year today, after my bike was serviced. Since I havn't been around brighton for a while, I went down to brighton marina (its got tunnels and high walls - the SV sounds great down there!), filled up with petrol then just bimbled up to the A27, went along towards Lewes and down the A26 then back home. The A26 from newhaven to the beddingham roundabout is one of my favorite stretches of road, it always feels good to revisit it

And that carrot cake looks lovely, I am now going to persuade Chris to get some while we are out this afternoon

I didn't even notice! lol and my head looks unusually larger than it should, like brain off of pinkie and the brain? whats going on there! you and chris out for a ride today?
