Can some one please tell me what is the widest rear wheel that you can put into a curvey sv and what mods need to be done to the spacer and rear brake hanger.
Many thanks ****.

I believe you can squeeze a 170 section tyre on to the standard rim. Don't think I like the sound of that though.

You can get a Bandit 12 or GSXR1100 wheel into the stock swingarm, but it's not just a bolt-up. 21Quest could shed more light on the GSXR wheel I reckon...

I used a GSXR1100M wheel.

Two ways to do it.

Change the bearings(including the one in the cush drive to one same internal diameter as the SV Or

Make captive spacers(go into the GSXR bearing but with the internal dimention for the SV spindle(this was the way I went).

The only real mod is on the right hand side. Modifying the caliper hanger to centre the caliper on the disc.

Don't forget to check with your insurance company as mine then refused to cover it and so had took it off. IMO not a good idea at all to run it with a standard shock/ride height.

Cheers
Ben
