job satisfaction has no relation to whether you should get paid or not, job satisfaction is up to the individual as in whether they like the job or not. if you get satisfaction from the job you do then all the better but doing unpaid overtime just makes it worse for those that dont like doing the job as then they have to do the same. their boss will just say so and so does it so you have to do it as well.

I think that all very much depends on wether you regard money as the only reward for doing a job well. Personally I'd rather do a job well and get paid poorly, than do a poor job and get paid well. Like I said I appreciate I'm in a position to make that choice, but the principal still stands and if I want to turn the tables on you Bibio I could argue that because people are prepared to accept sub-standard performance it makes it harder for those that want to deliver quality.

I'm a firm believer it what goes round comes round and a little extra effort or investment above and beyond what is required or expected usually delivers in the long run, even if it's only a free Pizza......

I have a neighbour who is a colossal lying twunt.

She promised us that her dog would not be a problem when she moved in and gave us a real sob story about what a terrible time she was having in her last flat, claiming that she was horribly bullied. Like total saps we fell for it.

Since the day she moved in, her has dog barked for hours and hours at all times of the day, when confronted about it, she got aggressive and accused us of bullying her too! The last time we spoke to her, she started shouting at wifey in the street with a load of homophobic abuse that thankfully our friend and neighbour downstairs heard and recorded.

We took it to her landlord who has ignored our concerns. Finally we got together with the other people in our block and even the block next door and we have put in a complaint to the council. We have to gather and record evidence, which would be fine except for the fact that the barking is driving me mad. She left the dogs alone on New Year and they barked almost continually for 36 hours. In the end the Police and the RSPCA came out and she was severely questioned when they finally found her.

I have promised not to speak to her due to the problems she creates, but this is beyond the joke.

Is this a gripe or a serious complaint, I am not sure? Either way, this comment has helped me feel better. She is still a vile twunt though.
