In Car Entertainment Help
Hi all, right Iv'e delved into the, "ICE," world.
I bought an Alpine Head Unit with some Infinty 6x9 speakers for my Van. The head unit is fitted and all the connections to the standard Transit speakers work, the iPod connection works, as does the radio and all of the other functions. The 6x9 speakers are now cut into the wooden bulk head ready to be mounted and the cables are neatly routed ready to be connected up to the rear of the head unit...... Ah, now I cant figure out where to put them? All there is on the back of the head unit is 6, (3xred 3xwhite,) normal connectors for an amp im guessing. They look like the component points you would get on the back of your TV/HiFi. Any ideas as i'm quite new to this, oh and the instructions are toss. Cheers. |

if you dont have an amp for your speakers then you will need to use the van speaker wires i think.

Re: In Car Entertainment Help
Get an amp, the 6x9s will sound better driven that way anyway. especially if you think you're going to uprgade further anyway.

Yeah thats what ive done in the end, picked up a 2 way amp. I was gonna go for a 4 way but didnt see the point in getting a sub yet.

Re: In Car Entertainment Help
could have used a 4way and bridge the connections if the amp allowed it to double the wattage to the 6*9. Amps easiest way to go

Re: In Car Entertainment Help
Those three red and three white are three pairs of left and right.
There should be one with aux out written on it or one saying rear or similar. Whack one in the red and one in the white.
