Weather musings
It's a few summers since we've had such relentless rain, so I did a little research. Obviously, last summer was exceptional, but to put it in perspective:
- average rainfall in the whole month of June in England over the past decade: 73mm - average rainfall across England in the whole month of June 2018: 3.3mm - rainfall in 8 hours overnight on Monday 10th June 2019 in Kent: 104mm |

Re: Weather musings
The people I really feel sorry for are those who have bought new builds over the past 10 years or so that developers have dropped onto the old river flood plains all round the country. Sure rainfall dropped off a bit, less rivers burst thier banks but now?

Re: Weather musings
If you buy a house on a floodplain you shouldn't be that surprised if the area is prone to flooding. The clue is in the name.
