Default Last minute ski holidays, where to book?

Can anyone suggest some websites for a ski holiday in two weeks time, I've had a look on Iglu, are there any others?

Me and a couple of mates, would prefer a chalet in a resort with some decent skiing, we're a mixture of expert and advanced intermediates, so mainly red, blacks and off piste for us.

Time to dust of the Seth K2's And the Atomic SX-B5 piste skis

I'm just back from a week in Anzere (Swiss Alps). brilliant resort, 2.5 hours drive from Geneva Airport (easyJet flights) and the hotel we stayed in was Hotel Eden (650 chf for a week Half Board Including Ski Pass) which was pretty good.

Who did you book it through, and how was the resort skiing wise?

Resort was great, loads of snow and some really nice long runs (best one was about 6km I think, certainly enough to keep you happy for a week anyway).

We DIY'd it, booked the flights with EasyJet, booked the hotel (this was done in advance, so apologies if we got a special deal!?) then hired a car at the airport.

Few websites that may be of use?
Anzere:

Anzere Piste Map:

Hotel Eden:
http://www.h-eden.ch/eng/index.php it's a bit 1970's. but clean, comfy and the food was good, I'd stay there again anyway.

I suppose it'll all depend on flight & hotel costs, but certainly worth a look.

Oh, and that's a good shout about Scotland too - we're enjoying some awesome snow up here at the moment!!

Have a look at www.winterhighland.info for al the details on our Scottish resorts - I can be of more help with these that European resorts if needs be!

Thanks for the info James, had a look and the resort looks a little on the small side wrt runs for us, we tend to get a few kilometres under our belts and like the larger resorts (3 Valleys, Tignes/Val D'Isere etc.). Ideally we'd like 200 km+ of piste.

Try Avoriaz, just above Morzine. Its in the middle of the Portes du Soleil, so no shortage of piste and with from your door skiing too. Have been a couple of times and wouldnt hesitate to go back.

If I were you Id DIY it and drive down. Try Pierre Vacances, they seem to own/operate most of the accomodation there:

Cheers,

Dave.

Try crystal or skiworld, i've used both those companies for a couple of ski trips in January. Both do last minute deals, in fact when i left my chalet last week the next occupants were gonna be group of lads who had got it cheap on a deal.

This was in Verbier by the way, great resort for advanced skiers loads of off piste stuff.
