A little picture story of nille's SV650N 2000
Hi there, some of you might know me from svrider.com or svrider.de
and for those who don't: This is Nils typing I'm from germany and own a naked curvy from 2000. Bought it in 2004 and thats how it started... This is the only picture I found, taken a couple of days after I bought it. Its completely stock except of some ugly LED blinkers. In 2005 I wanted to pop up the look so polished and painted the wheels, mounted some chrome mirrors, undertray, belly pan and some black micro blinkers. In 2006 it got painted in a special mixed color. I welded the subframe to get a higher tail, put on a glas fibre seat cowl, changed the rear wheel for a 5,5" Bandit wheel with an 180 tyre, installed a Koso RX1N speedo integrated to a new headlight and of course a better sounding exhaust Nothing changed except of some Rizoma grips, a huge Suzuki- "S" on the fuel tank, a new chain kit with a nice Stealth Supersprox chainweel and a powder coated swingarm. Didn't like the stock forks so installed some nice black anodized K7 GSXR 750 forks with a bandit front wheel, some older 310mm GSXR Brembo rotors and an SRAD 750 shock. I threw out the stock brake lines and bought some black covered steel lines, changed to a more curvy headlight and a nice Akrapovic hex can (K7 GSXR 750) on some used BOS headers. Not to forget the clear clutch cover (my buddy makes them so you may contact me if interested in one) and some Pazzo shorty levers... Yea, and some more powder coating... For 2009 it comes with Ducati 848 carbon tail fairing, Kellermann LED blinkers, new painted wheels, self made 2 in 2 headers (with bungs for my Innovate Motorsports wideband O2 sensor) with some K8 GSXR 1000 Akrapovic cans, a new Rizoma handle bar and Rizoma bar end mirrors. Last but not least a new side stand In 2010 I got hold of a nice set of GSXR 1000 PVM fordged wheels and had to make them fit Front wheel was a direct bolt in with some 320mm K2 GSXR 1000 Brembo rotors. Just had to space out the radial calipers by 5mm. Hell, the brake is awesome now! The rear wheel (6x17 with 190 tyre) has been too wide for the stock swingarm but perfectly fits with a GSR600 swinger. I changed the rear disc to a 220mm disc, no need for 240mm. SRAD shock changed with a GSXR 1000 White Power Compition shock and upgrated the exhaust to a full Leo with shorty black painted BOS can. Some Gilles foot rests and thats it... So here we have 2011. Mainly the same as in 2010 except of a new exhaust system with 45mm pipe diameter and some FCR39 flatslide carbs. Yea, and the numbers plate has a new location. Cheers, Nils Last edited by nille; 06-09-11 at 03:53 PM. |

the 2010 is stunning. i like how the ducati rear plastics flow nice with the frame. i personally would have kept the belly pan on though.
all in all a lovely bike that you should be proud of. you have put a lot of work into that bike. well done to you. |
