Default is £2000 to much for a 2006 sv650 with 12000 miles?

i am looking at a 2006 sv650, it is the silvery blue naked one. it has a tail tidy, seat cowl and a Beowulf exhaust and 12,000 on the clock. it is in very good condition. only needs the chain and sprocket changed (new ones included with bike just need to be fitted)

is it a good deal, and is the mileage to high as i plan on keeping it for at least 2-3 years using it daily.(just thinking of resale)

cheers
matt

I'd say that's about the right price, if all is as it should be

it doesn't sound overpriced to me and 12000 miles on a 6 year old bike isn't high, average of 2000 miles a year = hardly ridden.

Sounds like a good deal.

Mileage is only 2000 a year! Most SV's get used for commuting, etc, they are generally not just toys - age and proof of servicing/maintenance is more important than mileage.

also ive just seen this beauty, its a 2003 but in mint condition with only 8,900 miles on it. and with extras as you can see in the pictures. but is it worth £1950 - and will it still be worth much for resale in 3 or so years.
pictures in album below.

9 year old? I wouldn't have said so, though it does seem to be a beautiful low mileage bike, but many bikes are priced to allow for haggling, so make him an offer of £1700 and see what he says. In three years it will be a 12 year old bike, and the 10 year point has a bit of a psychological impact on any vehicles age.

£2k for a fairly low mileage 2006 bike sounds like a great deal if it's tidy. The 2003 one seems expensive, unless it's factory fresh.

Don't forget that the K3 is a bit of an oddity compared to all the other pointy bikes - different seat and subframe etc.

I wuld go for the 2006 over the 2003

My mate just sold his 2007 7,000 miler for £2600 recently. He'd done a zzr1400 shock upgrade and a few extras and immaculate but the 2006 sounds good value to me next to this if in very good condition.
