Default Festival of 1000 bikes

EPIC weekend, highly recommended if your a purest. Great to see the old bikes being given proper thrashings on the track, whether they were worth £1000, or £100,000+. You just don't get engine noises like that anymore.

Had a few track sessions on the saturday and got a mention from Murry Walker. I also got a wave from Agostini, and had a photoshoot for a new book coming out next year about motorcycles (thats my benelli, not actually me ). Even the old racers were having their own battles between each other (K Roberts and S Baker). As were Rhymer and Simpson on the Norton's.

Great weekend, HIGHLY recommended. Didn't stop talking all weekend.

Few pics, but the link is to all of them:

And one of me and daddy. Old man being on his super rare expensive LE Tornado, and me on my slightly modified Tre Tornado.

I was at the Fo1000B too, but only went over the bridge on Sat night to go watch the band, the queues to get over the bridge on Sunday were just too long to bother and we had food going most of the day so I stuck around on the outside of the circuit watching Trevor Nation pull wheelies all the way down the start finish on the Norton rotary.

Brilliant day! I got over into the pits fairly early so got straight over. Cn't believe how quiet it was were Agostini was signing autographs! Soo p!ssed off I left my seat cowl at home! Could've got it signed by Agostini, Phil Read, Mick Grant and (cough) Stavros Parrish!
Anyway a few piccies from the day.

The Legend!

My friend getting his PR replica lid signed by the man himself!

Unique use of bath plugs!!

Seriously thought I'd seen a ghost here!! Mind was playing tricks!

Thought it was ace that Adam Childs on his 1198 couldn't keep up with King Kenny!!

The Legend again

And another one!

Will post some you tube footage of the Honda RC166 when I get a chance. I have never ever heard a bike quite as loud as those

Ahh you might have ben watching another session. Kenny and Baker we're having a play, Kenny rolled off and Baker stayed on it and came round and they started playing again. Kenny was the faster rider for sure.

I've got some videos of the Nortons to complile and upload. But im uploading our first track session from the saturday, which is now estimating 3 hours to upload (13 min).

Lozzo, that RG was a work of art wasn't it. Esp as I was HUGE Kevin S fan. Even had the bike signed by him ('i've got a pic of the tank). Honestly, some of the bikes there, im sure I sex wee'd a little

Great weekend, will be going back on display next year for sure. I thought the track would be boring too, but it was acutally quite fun for a few sessions.

I can't believe how relaxed all the stars were. No security, no crowds hassling them, they just plodded around like regular guys. I loved that.
