Hi guys,
I'm a newbie here (so Howdo!) I'm looking for the proper name of the highlighted item in the pic (the white circle, cylindrical like object connected to tail light) edit for bike issue.jpg Any idea what it's called? reason I ask is I need a new one, this is the reason my signal fuses keep blowing....rather annoying thanks guys Last edited by Lost_57; 22-01-14 at 06:54 PM. Where is on the bike?
Looks like the rear HT Coil

Re: Need to find the proper name for this!?
Take it off, take it to a Suzuki dealer, and tell the parts guy you need a new one. He'll know what it is.
If it has numbers on it, you can Google them and probably find one to buy cheaper. |

Re: Need to find the proper name for this!?
I believe I may have found it, if not I could be making progress...
I went on alpha-parts (good for referencing and ordering parts so I'm told) and it appears to be the coil assembly http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_p...SV650,S/16.htm - see image #10 |

Re: Need to find the proper name for this!?
It looks like the rear coil, which would be connected to the Ignition unit (Black box in the tail piece with a big multi pin connector). There should be a thick HT lead from the coil to the rear spark plug. It is not connected to the lights.
Jambo Sent without a real keyboard P.S given you are unsure what it is, what had convinced you it's causing an issue with the light fuses?

Re: Need to find the proper name for this!?
And if it is a coil, are you sure it's connected to the rear light?
