Try this stuff ( ant stop granules ) I can guarantee it works, made from natural stuff that the little beggars carry back to the nest and it kills the whole nest.

After what seems like a week of living on the drafy cold garage floor under my SV, today the remains of the sheared exhaust header bolt finally came out!
Thanks to a couple of left handed drill bits (cheers Seeker for the recommendation) and no thanks at all to the "easy out" that snapped off in the hole I'd drilled through the bolt, which then needed grinding out with a dremel before I could even get back to the job I'd started!
Moral of the story... never, never, never use easy out extractors!
Anyway.. victory! >>>

I'm actually quite amazed how straight I managed to drill it considering I can't normally get anything lined up straight. The feeling of relief when it suddenly spiralled it's way out down the drill was amazing!!

Already done and the threads are all good. The remains of the bolt came out like a very thin sleeve, leaving the threads in perfect condition and they cleaned up well when I got the tap in there. So pleased. Not even any need for a helicoil.

Result - nice one.

My smile for the day is interviewing at 10 o'clock for a new contract and them asking me to start there and then! I should have asked for a higher day rate if they were that keen but at least I am off the streets again.

Ordered the Christmas wine with vouchers from work. Free or heavily discounted wine pleases me.
