Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).
There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too.

I'm no engineer, but have a chat with someone like FiltrationSystems.

They do all sorts of medical grade stuff, let alone food grade.

If you literally want the mesh sheet to work with, I'm sure they could help there too. If not, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks Baph... I've e-mailed them, but they are in the US

There must be some UK suppliers

I'm bored in work, and just had the most earth shattering conversation with one of the guys in the Projects department (my god I thought that Data Architects were boring).

Anyway, result of the conversation...

filtrationandseperation.co.uk
wiremesh.co.uk
efe-uk.com (they make Plankton nets out of stainless apparently - might have something to suit)
wovenwire.co.uk (make mosquito nets etc)
maygurney.co.uk
micrafilter.co.uk
airblast.co.uk

Or if you only need a relatively small patch of it, any reasonable kettle & rip it apart (how & why did he know this?)

Should give you something to go on matey. It's handy working for a global logistics company, generally if anyone wants anything specific, someone here knows who supplies it. Non of the above are gurantees, just pointers
