Default Fitting R&G Crash Bungs

Has anyone done this themselves or got a garage to do it.

My K4 is fully faired, the manual says something about removing the fairings ( obviously ) and then undoing an engine bolt and knocking it our with the new one????

Just wondered if anyone has done it themselves and how easy it was?

Cheers in advance

Yep, did it myself, on a half faired tho.

Feels wrong taking out an engine mounting bolt, but I promise you the engine won't fall out.

Its an easy job, just go for it.

Oh just one thing, when I removed the long engine bolt (the one that the long bolt in the R & G pack replaces), it took a bit of effort as it was a little corroded, and 'stuck'. Apart from that, it went ok.

HTH,

Billy.

I want to fit these too, does anyone know the most reasonably priced place to get them?

Easiest way is to get motosliders instead (also better)

About £50 delivered iirc

It is pretty easy. Basically take out old bolts, put in new bolts. IIRC the front left bolt had something fiddly about it, but I don't remember what exactly.

IIRC its a bit deep into the bung mount, you really need a deep socket but can make do with a normal one.
