Too good to be true?
I have been looking to purchase a Roof Boxer V for some time & stumbled across this site selling them for nearly half price.
http://helmetcity.easywebstore.co.uk...ack_AKPIR.aspx I would like to get your opinions: Is it too good to be true? Has anyone any experience of this retailer? Many thanks, Alan |

Re: Too good to be true?
Don't get one if you intend to use one on a motorway, long distance at a sustained high speed. My other half has a 'ROOF', and he only uses it in summer around town, running errands. He says its complete plop, its incredibly uncomfortable at high speed for a long time. Its equally very loud...torturous in fact

Only a deal if you wear size SMALL! There's always deals on helmets for the smaller sizes. Check the size drop down menu - only extra small and small available.

Re: Too good to be true?
Ive used them and bought a Shoei X Spirit race rep for £300.
That was a few years ago,and BB junior bought one two years ago for £310. Plain colours were available for less. Exactly what it said on the tin,and no problems with them at all.

I saw these and really liked them. I've read some good reviews on the Roof Daytona before (they are/were on offer at same place I think), supposed to be quiet lids too and look just as good.

yes, highly recommend that shop. got my boots and helmet from them, though i went down there as i wanted to try them on. went down there again to get my gloves and a helmet bag. good prices and knowledgeable staff
everything i've bought from there has been less than retail price (no link to them whatsoever, just a very happy customer) |

Re: Too good to be true?
used to have a boxer and wouldnt reccomend it if you do any riding in the cold or wet.
one sniff of any moisture and they mist. mine came apart after about a year when the tab holding the press studs on came off. they also weigh quite a bit, and arent the most aerodynamic things in the world. on the plus side, they look good and the flip is welcome in the summer, but closing them securly can be a pain as it relys on two press studs to keep the chin bar down and they can be a pain to locate on the move. |
