Default Road observations

I am noticing sensors being fitted to roads outside of urban areas. They look like the square inset traffic light sensors that are sited just below the road surface but are not near any traffic lights. In the US you could go to a website where it would show the readouts from the sensors to tell how much traffic was on a particular road and how fast it was moving.

Knowing what happens here, they'll probably link them to a camera.

Potholes - they are being filled with very precise rectangular/square patches but are all proud of the surface. Instead of dropping into a hole you now rise up a bump - a negative pothole? It isn't much of an improvement imho, but many roads are way past the patching stage anyway (again, imho).
