The running thread!

Blimey 13.1 miles, that sounds like a bloody long way to me, although I have actually managed to pull my shoes on a few times this month.

I have been running relatively regularly but haven't been doing any long runs. I did the Great South Run on Sunday (and didn't die) which was my longest run since April so I thought maybe a half would be ok for this weekend and good practice for Hellrunner.

Do it!

I did a half on Sunday after bugger all training. And although was half an hour slower than my fastest time it still only took me a couple of days to recover.

Think of it this way....even very slowly its only 2.5 hours, and you'll probably only be in pain for the last hour of that.

I'm just getting back into running as I've set myself a multi-day challenge for next year which I need to prepare for. Really enjoying it so far.

I've reverted to the gym, less likely to have a dose of the CBAs if I'm paying.

2hrs mountain biking in the dunes followed by a 5 mile run today, it was pretty warm here 15degC +, although I'm sure it'll soon be deathly ice running in a week or two.
