Default 1st gen clutch cover swap for 2nd gen?

anyone successfully swapped a 1st gen clutch cover for a 2nd gen? much involved or is it a straight swap?

I've the outer clutch cover leak and read that you can swap for the 2nd gen which is one unit, so no leaks. I'm aware the oil level window is different, but anything else i need to be aware of?

then my second question is, has anyone got a spare cover from a 2nd gen?

So they are interchangeable.
Odd how he'd want to go backwards and risk a leak for a fancypants cover!

Recon he's still got his original 2nd gen cover?

Mine leaked even with a new gasket in it so i took it off and then used some loctite 5910 (pictured) stopped leak and its held for the last few years.

yeh seen the woodcraft covers, just a bit pricey, figured i could get a 2nd gen cover n forget about it all together.
currently running mine with some instant gasket on it, it was fine n stayed sealed for about 7 months, but its starting to seep through again now. recon the loctite black silicone is better than instant gasket?

saying that, i might just re-seal it with loctite or instant gasket again, even if it only lasts 7 months each time, be a long time til i break even with the cost of buyin a new cover...

1st or 2nd Gen they all do it to some degree because they're plastic and warp
