not Olympus but I don't really know where to start looking for one of those. Surprising f2.8 which I guess is at full zoom, and average performance it seems, which is pretty much what you would expect I think.

Funny you should post that one up, I actually have that lens. Might have to give it a go next time. I also have a 28-80 somewhere but I don't recall the max aperture.

Yoko, have you got any advice on picking an OM-D? There seems to be loads of different versions. Did look at this one https://www.lcegroup.co.uk/Used/Olym....6_264111.html but not sure if it's a good one or not. Would prefer a chrome finish. There are EM5 and EM10 models listed too?

I also thought about a 2x converter and a decent 50mm lens, though typically they darken things a stop or two. I guess it would be a moot point unless you had a very fast 50mm.

Right, from what I understand the 10 and the 5 are pretty much the same except the 5 has no built in flash but has weather sealing. Which one do you have Yoko? I'm probably going to go down the route of getting an EM10 body and use the 14-42 lens from my G1 for the time being. Can get a chrome body for about £150 for a mark 1.

Sorryfor the late response Kenzie. I've been off the grid for a few days. Left Chengdu and gone travelling. I'm in Xiamen at the moment and then off into the mountains to a place called Wuyishan for a couple of days hiking.
I have the Em10 mark 2 and have used it plenty over the last few days. Noticed loads of good deals on these new at jessops and other places last week. It's small, main reason I got it. Better than version 1 and the mark 3 upgrades were fairly minor I think. The 5 is bigger, weatherproofed but in terms of spec differences, not worth the money imo. The new version, recently released, is more compact and has better features. The em1 is more a pro camera.
Probably better to get a body only and look at ebay or camera jungle for lenses. The sigma primes are good and nicely priced.

No worries, I know getting online isn't easy. Been sorting out my room and stumbled on a Kiev 4, and an EXA 1. I've also had a sort out of one of my camera crates and have a Zenit EM and a Zenit TTL up for grabs if someone wants a beast of a Soviet camera. Both with Helios 44M and both free. Heading to the charity shop otherwise.
