Default SV650 mileage

So ive been a member of the forum for some time but only just got my first SV650 and will be retiring my 600 hornet which served me very well as my daily clocking up over 90k miles and is still going strong.

Just got me thinking, how long do these SV's go on for provided they are well maintained be interested to hear how many miles some of you on here have put on your SV's?

98,250 on my curvy. I should be well over the 100,000 by the end of the year.

hopefully that's just down to low usage as opposed to engine failure

Yeah, it was kept at a friend's house for a few years due to having no space at the flat. We bought a house a few years ago so I got to use it more, then the pandemic hit.

Can beat that Kenzie, 8K since 1999! - No wonder the exhaust studs may be salvageable. I do enjoy riding it but I have to have a purpose for the journey. Same as when I go out on the push bike, a trip to a pub fits the bill and of course the exercise off sets the beer, so if I have trip out then that tends to take preference. Do about the same sort of mileage on the Cub a year as well.

The bikes serve as a back up vehicle so for £200 tax/Insurance for both its not a great cost.

(As a side issue I do enjoy the camera thread - takes me back a few years)

I just put a new chain/sprockets on and a new set of Angel GT 2s. Had it ten years and done about 4k. The camera thread can be a bit risky, people end up buying more than they offload.

My K3 has just rolled over 30K. Being a disabled rider I have managed less than a 1000 miles per year for the last five years or more and I get teased a little when I present her for MOT with my low mileage, given the age of the bike. However, at this distance, I am only just getting towards the second valve clearance check. My bike may not move much, but she is garaged, serviced every year and treated with ACF50 as soon as the weather turns nasty, which keeps her in good condition and thus I fully expect the bike to outlast me.

My 99 has about 50k on it, though not much of it from recent years. Going fine though it hasn't been perfect.
