Boris put "glue" on the roads near the sensors that measured the air in an attempt to bring the pollution stats down. Only in the areas where the measurments were being taken though to avoid EU fines, not because he gave a crap about people's lungs.

Interesting it's done on date. My K8 is actually an 07 plate. So still just inside the cut-off date, but I bet that's led to a few discrepancies.

I checked the V5 for our cars and the emissions are on there - also emissions are on the V5 for my AL7. I don't know if the V5 changed over the years (it may have done) to include more emissions info..

I'd imagine when they started taxing based on emissions, it would make it onto the V5. That was around 2005/6 for cars iirc. But still not the case for bikes.

I find it strange that us non Londoners that are ignorant of the carp you lot have to put up with, are expected to know you have strange rules that are only applicable to that there london. I can drive my tractor anywhere so long as I have insurance. Except I may get a fine for doing it London..


It just aint driving though. How the hell are crockles supposed to know how to use cheaper public transport with them oyster things. No fleece the tourist so they never come back.

There was talk of it being brought in in Bristol too. Instead they installed a tram system.. which was downgraded to electric buses on dedicated routes, which was downgraded to normal buses with new body kits on dedicated routes, which was downgraded to semi dedicated routes. Which is nearly finished 5 years, a lot of money and a lot of disruption later. And is still too expensive for anyone to want to use and unreliable. No oyster cards either and even though First run both buses and tains in the area, you can't buy a ticket for one journey that uses both.
+ The council subsidises them massively even though their execs rake it in. .. got a feeling I should be writing this in the gripe thread.

Good news boys, the v5 shows the emissions. Meaning we're all clear, JUST! 0.15 being the cut off, the sv1000 coming in at 0.14 😂
