The oven clock
This struck a chord...
https://newsthump.com/2021/11/01/bri...tions-ovens-2/ My oven has electrically noisy switches for setting time/alarms. When you try and nudge it to the exact time it often jumps or even decides to sound the timer alarm. Last year I got it within a couple of minutes only to realise I was 12 hrs out - I forgot it was a 24hr clock. It will now wait for 6 months until it will be (nearly) correct again. I suppose I now need to find the car/SV/Kawasaki manuals to figure out how to set their clocks. My 15 yr old Sony clock radio alarm clock has a button on the side that jumps the time back and forth by the one hour needed for BST/GMT. That was progress!

Re: The oven clock
Dammit. You've reminded me I still need to change time in both cars... My last Vauxhall changed the time itself but my current Fords seem incapable of it.
I don't bother changing the bike - as I don't ride it during the non-BST months the clock is always right

Re: The oven clock
I spent half an hour trying to change the oven clock and gave up in the end and left it. When I came back home at the end of the afternoon I tried again and it changed without any problem. Still haven't figured it out.

Re: The oven clock
About the only thing I change on the bike and car dash displays is the time.

Re: The oven clock
my oven is about ermm 30+ years young i've had it for 24 years and still works. the clock is a doodle to do, poke the button with a pen and turn the knob. its that old the clock goes to 24:00 then a minute after turns to 00:01.
i'm looking at new ones but to get one the same quality is eye watering. |

Re: The oven clock
Mine does that (goes to 24:00) It’s not ancient, however long ago it was comet went down the pan as ordered from them but they couldn’t honour the delivery. Rangemaster Kitchener (piece of cake to change the time)

Re: The oven clock
I never change the clock on the bike, it's set for GMT and stays that way ....
