Honda NTV

Saw one of these parked up in the bike garage at work today.


It appears to not have a chain??

Anyone here ridden or owned one?

it's the base bike of the "dull-vile", basic but functional, fairly robust, but fun is limited.

Not ridden one but many despatch riders down south used them in abundance , I think the chain version was a "Bros" (Jap Import 400 or 650) and they preffered the Revere , they nicknamed the one above ....... the Honda "Severe" , also appeared in the States as a Honda Hawk but not sure what the final drive was on it .

Yep, them and kwak gt550s used to be courier's choice oop north too.

Bros 650 (product one) and 400 (Product two) and Revere were all chain drive, both the bros models were grey imports, however the Revere sold here was 600cc, to later evolve into the 650cc NTV, the GT hawk was also chain drive.

Boxy but good! That same frame and basic engine is still inside the Deauville as said, if you look at the frame area around the footrest hangers, it's the same as the new model Deauville. Probably a bit dull, that motor has a low redline, about 8k and it feels rough above 7k.

Sorry, I'm late to this thread because I took one look at the pic and fell asleep....I'll go with what everyone else has said - they're like the Volvo 340 of the bike world.
