Sticking brake caliper.
Went out for a short blast on my bike today. It was my first run since about October last year. When i was pushing my bike out of the garage it was quite hard to move and i thought that maybe it was due to it sitting for so long.
When i was riding and rolled off the throttle the bike slowed down very quickly and at some points i didn't even have to use the brakes. I was using the brakes a lot to try and wear off any nastiness that may have been on the face of the pads. As i got near home i heard a "squeaking" noise coming from the front brakes. When i stopped at my house i had a look at the discs and they looked ok but when i touched them the one on the left (looking at them from sitting on the seat) was cool but the right hand disc was very hot. I am not mechanical minded in any way so any thought on what it could be and simple description to resolve the problem would be greatly appreciated. I cannot afford to put the bike into a garage to pay for repairs and would be quite happy to try and give it a go myself!! maybe as long as it is not too difficult. Thank you.

Re: Brake Problem
Calipers need some maintenance.Either the pistons are sticking or the sliders are not sliding. At the least they are going to need a good clean up and red rubber grease.

Thanks BB i would give it a go but as brakes are an essential part of the bike i would be worried that i would mess it all up.
