Does she not want it back? It's been ages. I know you had a pile of folders to look at too.

I've contacted her twice and she makes all the right noises then goes quiet. I'll probably do it one last time and offer to turn it into money in the run up to Christmas. I've got a fair list of others to look at. two Ikoflexes, Ensign Autorange, Super Dollina, Super Sillettes, random other bits and bobs. Can't seem to get my thumb out but at least they're not getting any cheaper with age!

True, prices are still on the up. I've got a bid on an early non md OM1. Did you get round to using the one I sent you?

Ah, sorry to hear that. I don't think I had gotten around to using that one.

Lol, some day! I've got a Praktica LLC in bits at the moment, not really sure what I'm looking for but the shutter sometimes doesn't complete its cycle and the mirror hangs.

I managed to revive the Voigtlander Vitessa by effectively breaking it. The double exposure lock lever wasn't working properly so I had to bend it out of the way to stop it messing up the winder. I hate to do it, but if I didn't then it would be stuck on the shelf. I even sent it to a repair shop who returned it as unfixable.

Despite trying not to buy anything, how could i pass up a mint OM10 for £30. Mirror was stuck part way but a new set of batteries and it is firing fine. 50mm Zuiko and 28mm Ozeck lenses, and it looks almost like it's never been used, you could believe it if not for the dead batteries. The battery chamber cap is almost devoid of scuffs and chewing, for example. Can't test the shutter speeds as it doesn't have a manual adapter! I dug out the Spotmatic and tested that, 500 and 1000 are a touch slow but everything else is spot on e.g. 125 is 130. Dropped the owner a line to see if she wants to try the OM10 instead as it has open aperture metering and auto exposure. While testing the Pentax though it reminded me why I like these things. Solid brass, sounds a bit like a cash register when you fire it, everything so well made and almost no plasticky bits. Something satisfying about just holding it in your hands.

In other news, took a second picture with the Seagull TLR.

Sounds like you got a good one, the OM10 is a really nice and simple camera to use. The manual adapters are fetching fairly good money on their own at the moment. I do have quite a few Spotmatic type cameras but have yet to shoot a roll through any of them yet, I keep meaning to but get distracted with other cameras. I have stopped buying gear, and I have even let a few go. I'll also be leaving my job soon, as I am looking for new opportunities. So I can't spend anything even if I wanted to. Sounds like you are really burning through that film JR!
