A solution to water and mud spraying on the motor
I've had a fender extender since day one on my K5 SVS, but found that the little rubber flap was too small to keep the motor clean, so I made a bigger one, out of 4 mm aluminium! I curved it and made a cutout for the radiator mounting, plus two slits for the metal lugs that hold the standard rubber flap, then bolted it to the existing hole in the fairing lowers. It sits inside the lowers. Works well. I'm watching the temp gauge, but no change. We'll see if it works in Summer! Jon.
