Clutch cable. Why all the trouble!!!!!
Why am i having reall trouble getting a clutch cable for my w reg 03/2000 sv650s. I have ordered one from the internet. It came the next day. Around 5 inches to long. Normaly i wouldn't complain about an extra 5 inches but i could not select any gear with the new cable installed.
On saturday, went to my local suzuki dealer and ordered one from them. Gave them the reg and year. Picked the cable up today this time around 4 inches to long. What is going on. Has anyone else had this problem getting hold of one. What can people suggest i do to get the correct one. Thanks in advance Andy |

58200-20F00 is the part no for the naked
58200-19F00 for the S

you can always buy one of this.more money but better flexibility in routing.

Or do what I did as I got the N clutch cable on my S, so I just re-routed it round a few more corners and it solved the problem.

Ok, so its too long, but that shouldnt stop the activation of the clutch if adjusted correctly. Its still a cable, and works int he same way. If you are unsure on how to adjust the clutch, then do a search for sid squids clutch adjusting post! As said though, sounds like you have a cable for a naked and a crap dealer. |
