Fitted CCC today
The CCC i got down the NEC is now on and all i can say is YEAH! Sounds pretty loud and deep without the baffle but not tried it with the baffle as it is not offensivly loud.
Drilling out the rivet that holds the baffle was easy but the baffle needed a good push from the other end to get it out and to refit i have to use a load of force. I would have to remove the can again as it just is to tight to come out easily, even with the use of pliers. Sounds a bit odd as i thought it was easy to slot in and out from what i have read in posts. May mail CCC and see whats up with that Those who still have the original can.....the s/s oval is a real good buy on e bay |

i was'nt aware you had to drill out the rivet for the baffel, they are hard to get out at first because they silicone the baffle in to make a seal well this is how my scorpion was.

my baffle comes in/out very easy, just hand pressure is enough.i can just put it in/pull it out as req(ooeerr missus).the rivet just stays out now ,i dont need it .the baffle just pushes in no prob .i keep the baffle under the seat just in case ,seconds to fit ,.sounds good eh????

I have the oval can and a mate got the same at same time and on both it is real hard getting baffle in and impossible getting it out without force from INSIDE the can meaning can needs removing. We went for our first real rides today and i gotta say WOW it sounds so loud and deep. My mate has a bandit and moaned mine sounded so much better and i just said it was a V Twin thing......

I found the first time I took the baffle out it was a bit tight but it pushes in and out ok by hand now, not that i've ever riden with it in, just get it out from under the seat now and then to show people who are interested the difference in sound.

CCC e mailed me back and said to try some copper slip so hopefully that will make it slide in and out easier ...

I have yet to remove my baffle - still enjoying it with it in place!
But then it did take me 8 months of SV ownership to fit a can in the first place!
