No Way To Use Stock Clip-Ons on GSXR Front End? - SV650.org

I am swapping my 2004 SV650S front endwith a 2006 GSXR 1000 front end. I wanted to know is there any way to keep my stock clip-ons? (Maybe a 50mm adapter kit or something?)
If not... can I just get some regular 50mm Vortex clip-ons and use my stock wiring and master cylinder and grips and stuff?
Basically, I'm trying to find the cheapest way to do this. My wife is already on me because I'm way over budget.
In addition, I've read other places on here that there are clearance issues with the tank and the clock surround. Will the Vortex aftermaket bars deal with this or do I need some sort of riser or something.
Sorry if I sound confused, but I am.

Definately not standard. You can fit standard GSXR ones, but they're lower than standard and might foul the plastics (they're tight on a curvy, can't speak for injected, but there's others that can). Dirt cheap, those. Vortex, or just about any race-style clipons, will be comparatively expensive and I'd be amazed if yhey don't foul the plastics, they're even lower.

I used TL1000S (not R, they're the same as GSXR) clipons, which work a charm. They're higher than the GSXR ones, more angled but I can't say that I've ever been bothered. The extra height also makes for more comfort, they're more or less the same raise as SV ones. They're not all that easy to find though, I think I paid £40 for mine which was pretty good.

Thanks much for the info. I am looking at some Helibars. Anyone got any info on these? They seem to be a little higher than stock. Anyone had any experience with these?

No way to use the stock ones, end of story

Standard gixxers' are what I have. They are lower which in terms of ergonomics and fit me well, but they move your hand closer to the fairing below your hands.
Not a big deal, although tiny scratches will come from this, because your fingertips will sometimes touch.

Many race clip-ons appear to be even lower, so keep in mind what I said above.

With the gixxer clip-ons and the radial master cylinder I got from a K4 gixxer750, then at full left lock, the brake lever will just touch the black inner plastic panel.
Not a problem though, it's not enough to actually activate the brakes.

No experience with the Helibars though.

Thanks. I found a pair of helibars I think should fit on ebay for $110 including shipping. I think that's a good price, but won't know for sure until I actually fit them, find out they don't fit, then have to resell them on ebay for less and buy different ones that do fit, lol.

He said they came off a 2004 GSXR 750 so the fork width (inverted forks) should be the same... 50 mm.

BTW, like that stripe northwind... when I get some plastics (full) I'm gonna repaint flat black with white stripes down the center, but... different thread.
