I just asked in B&Q if they'd sell 3 split giant gro bags at a discount. Yes they would. How about £2 each instead of £5. Since I'll be emptying the compost into pots anyway that was a bargain.

I hate vacuuming, but today while up in the furthest corner of the office I was tackling the piles of cat fur and spotted something shiny.

One of the beautiful earrings bought for me by the Org in 2015. I thought I'd lost it on the way to work a couple of months ago and was really upset but no, there it was. So glad I kept the other one.

So was it Iggle or Piggle that hid it?

I swear I vacuumed up enough fur today to make several new cats, and it's only a week since I last vacuumed.

I also had to wipe up lots of little splats of bird poo because someone brought a baby starling in alive and then let it go in the house. Stu released it. That was Iggle I suspect as he was really pleased with himself and kept making excited squeaky noises.

Today I was really busy at work so one of the academy players offered to help me as he wasn't need to bowl at India and NZ teams. He was an absolute gem. I thought as it was officially his day off he'd stick around for an hour, instead he helped me all day and at 5.30 instead of going home we bought wine for me, ice cream for him and sat in Regent's Park in the sunshine, only leaving at nearly 9pm. So refreshing to find a 22 year old with brains and enthusiasm.

Maybe he was glad of the opportunity to spend some time with an interesting charming female who had some social and conversational skills rather than some of the empty headed shallow females in his own age group, probably meant something to him that you were paying attention to him rather than being engrossed in your phone all the time.
