Desperate measures
Can anyone recommend me a decent Chinese takeaway and Indian takeaway restaurant in and around Maidenhead. I have tried a couple of each now and all of them have been pants.
I am a particular fan of the "cant be bothered to cook" evenings so your help would definately be appreciatted. Jon

Re: Desperate measures
There is a really good Chinese takeaway in Cookham, near the station.
Just on the other side of the railway line/crossing there is a great indian restaurant as well. Quite pricey though. |

Re: Desperate measures
I know what you mean. Where do you go to the Cinema? Maidenhead seems like the easiest option but it isnt great. Reading is a bit too far.

High Wycombe, near Asda.
Cinema there with TGI Fridays, Franky and Bennies and a few other places. Consequently Lawrence Dallaglio is quite often in that TGI's, im on first name terms. |

Re: Desperate measures
same place i go for movies but given ive invested in a decent surround sound system and a projector and my neighbour has wireless i tend to just dl them off the net. as for takeaways in maidenhead not a clue mate, your best bet it to just start at the top of the list in the yellow pages and work your way through it. Not only which it guaranty you find out which is best its also a great excuse to have take away (its research darling, honest, im not too lazy to cook)

Re: Desperate measures
Maidenhead cinema is good, loads of legroom , huge screens and good sound..
As for chinese takeaway, try the Lobster Pot in Harrow Lane, best i've found! |

Re: Desperate measures
Been a while, but if I was to have take away in Maidenhead, preference would be Chinese from "Vins"
(and second, the Lobster pot) Vins is in 21 Gloucester Rd, Maidenhead |
