Default 1st track day possibly

Hi all time to call upon the org's wisdom. Im thinking of going to do my 1st trackday next month so complete newbie.

I have read lots threads about what to take, and it will just be and the bike, no spares (I dont intend to use them lol)

I will be riding it over there, but what do I have to do if anythink to the bike to go on the track?

Thanks all

make sure its got oil in, chain adjusted corectly and lubed, ensure all bits are on properly.

tyre life.

take a tyre presseure gague with you if possible.

at track you will be told to fold in or remove mirrors and to tape over the speedo. I always tape up my lights front and rear , as well as removing my number plate and rear indicators.

ensure you take the baffle with you for the noise test if aplicable.

before you go out lower tyre pressure for the track and after the first session check and readjust it when hot.

other than that go have fun.

oh almost forgot you need two piece or 1 piece leathers as well. Another top tip is if the track is a fair distance away maybe a good idea to stay over the night before save doing allll the traveling up and back in one day.

Did my first track day at Brands Hatch this year. Most important thing to remember is... Relaaaaaaaaaaaaaax. I got a bit over excited on a few laps and almost came off. Oh yeah, don't try to race anyone, that'll defo get into trouble. Just relax, enjoy the day. You're gonna love it.

well the plate and indicators come off as its one less thing to damage in an off, my indicators are attached to my plate mounting. the front ones are in the fairing s anyway .

also its been known for insurance assesoors to take not of plates at track days and then see if a few weeks later a claim comes through. helps avoid that

well in my case as i have GAP insurance, the bike would be 'stolen' after a sutable ammount of time and have all ID marks removed , get the money back i paid for it , go shopping for a new road bike and use the kwak as a proper track bike

Rob, i'll have a few curvy spares with me on the 28th. Levers, footrests and the like, so at least if one of us comes off we can repair it.

But that's not going to happen if you relax and take it steady, building up your pace slowly.

Have we convinced you yet?

gaffer tape. cable ties. water. flapjacks.

(I usually take a few tools/fixer peg & levers but only because I've got them)
