Anyone had to make a claim with Bikesure?
Hi - it's renewal time and Bikesure keep popping up on the comparison sites with the best quotes (£198 TPFT for 28yo with 1 NCB) which is considerably cheaper than most of the others.
Having been messed around by a previous insurer who wouldn't pay out or refund my premium (Autonet broker, Chaucer underwriter), I'd prefer to get a heads up on the kind of customer service people have had when they've made a claim. So are Bikesure any good, or are they purely a "take the cheap price and hope you don't need em" type of company? |

I think I claimed when I was insured with Bikesure, and they were perfectly ok. I think. I shop around every year so it's possible it was with someone else at the time

Re: Anyone had to make a claim with Bikesure?
My brother works for bikesure and if you ring him tomorrow (saturday morning) he should be able to sort you out a better price. I pay £119 TPFT at 25yr old with no NCB.
Ask for Luke Watson, hold if need be he said he'll always sort out an SV rider a better quote. He's an SV owner himself. Same goes for anyone on here, tell him his brother told you to call him. No guarantees but he'll try!! You can call any day not just tomorrow. On claims side, my mum had a car at fault accident in May and were spot on for helping\sorting things out. Re: Anyone had to make a claim with Bikesure?
Funnily enough my renewal came today, £630 from Simply who were dirt cheap last year (under £300 iirc)
Quick bust a move on confused and Bikesure can do me a better policy for £221 with a silly excess or £241 with a realistic one... Don't think I'll even grace Simply with a call tbh

I've used bikesure, their service was good, sent me written confirmation they knew about lots of mods as I asked, never messed me about. Though I never had to claim.

Carole Nash were more expensive than many for me, but their customer service is excellent IMHO, although I have never had to make a claim.
Top tip... Do an online quote with them, then don't get in touch. They will call you, probably mid afternoon the following day, dude on the phone will be able to do surprisingly better prices. |

Re: Anyone had to make a claim with Bikesure?
+1. I think the first time I used bikesure was when they were the cheapest quote on the bike insurer. Literally as I was just about to hit the "pay" button, they phoned me up and gave me another £50 off
