Brettus.....yours looks like a still from a horror film....like it. I thought I'd leave desolate open to interpretation as I figured peeps would post all sorts of weird and wonderful pics!

I think mine satisfies the weird criteria, and there are already some wonderful images already that really portray the classic idea of desolate.

it was -5, with ice on puddles so thick you couldn't break it by jumping on it. I eventually found one where the water underneath had somehow drained away, so I smashed the ice with a rock, and it was about 3 inches thick.

Bizarrely, as we'd been walking energetically for several miles, I found I could handle ice in my bare hands without it hurting. But as it was so cold, the ice didn't melt in your hands either.

Kaiser didn't care about this at all and just bounded all over the place in his usual floppy manner.
