No hangover this morning, despite the, cough, odd Kingfisher at the curry house last night. I call that a result

Usually when I have no hangover it is because I am still drunk.

Couple of weeks yet til my little bike comes out of it's cave for Spring/Summer!

Gardener 1, rat 0. Turned over my compost bins this morning and even though the little git slunk way down into the far corner I could see it moving and got it with my spade when it broke cover. Didn't take a piccie as it seemed unfair on the poor thing and it's hardly u-rated. Left it on the shed roof and a passing Red Kite just dropped it... Will go and put it back on the shed roof once I've had lunch.

Our Welsh red kites really have travelled far now. It was unusual to see the even here in Kington two miles from the Welsh border not many years ago.

I can hereby confirm that doing 70mph, into a headwind, with an ambient temp of -1*c results in the loss of all feeling to your paws.

Damn, damn, damn! That irritating notch in the steering on Lady Poppy's car has gotten worse and the garage said it needs a new steering rack. Thankfully they have a tame recon supplier to keep the costs down but it's going to be expensive.

On the upside I persuaded them to let me have a 1.0 Ecoboost Focus as a courtesy car. Not quite as punchy as my 1.6 four cylinder version but it's well suited to the Focus and if you live/drive in a fairly flat area it would be fine. That engine in a Fiesta must be epic.

cant see a rack going notchy unless you kerb it a lot, more like the electric pump is needing new brushes.

the 1ltr cars are ok in the town but get them out of town and they are like clockwork toys.. need winding up, that and they start running out of puff at 70. no thanks.

ooohhh and its a load of borloks about diesels being shizz in town, i average 55mpg in town in my 1.6 yeti where the 1.1 or what ever it is only gets 35-40mpg in town. i'm sooooooo glad i never listened to the salesman. 600 miles to a tank aint half bad
