I rode a supersport for the first time since 2005 last month at Anglesey. I was amazed how much I felt perched on top of the 2007 ZX6R after riding my SV1000SZ for the last eight years. It was light, turned very well and I couldn’t believe how much they rev out. I only had a 15 min session and didn’t use tyre warmers so it took me a while to get going, but once I’d got the feel for it, I wanted to keep it. Here is a bit of video filmed from my mates GSXR750K5 if you are interested. We were in Fast Group so I’m getting a bit battered, but it was my first go on it and no warmers etc… excuses, excuses.

The CBR1000 had the "sitting down inside" feeling. Which was lucky as it was the size of a respectable holiday cottage.

Default Had a go on a CBR600RR

Try something other than a sports bike, like a street triple. Clip ons were designed for racing. On the road wider bars give you an agillity and handling which is very enjoyable. You may be surprised just how much you like it.
