Rusty fuel filler cap?
Hi Everyone, just noticed when filling up the bike that around where the filler cap sits has gotten rusty from being sat outside during winter.
wondering if there is a easy way to stop it rusting any more? tried searching but it seems to bring up more things about the tank itself falling apart. |

Re: Rusty fuel filler cap?
you could polish it and give it a coat of clear laquer. but keeping it polished would be just as good.

Mine is the same - hope its nothing bad. Will try the polish. I wonder if a thin layer of vasaline would help?
