Tyre - should I change it?
So Churchill Tyres in Towcester say I've got 1k-1.5k left in the front, so my question is should I change it before Easter when I'm doing a mini 750ish mile tour with pillion or when I get back?
Sorry for anyone on the st forum. |

Re: Tyre should I change it?
Hoops with less tread are more prone to punctures.

Re: Tyre should I change it?
Ritualisticly I'll be doing about 200 miles before easter and then the 700-750 miles at easter, so not sure if to air on the side of caution or just say **** it and ride with until I get back?

Re: Tyre should I change it?

Re: Tyre - should I change it?
might as well change them, why risk ruining your tour looking for a tyre place. You'll get another 200miles so the downside is approx 800 miles.
Or change them whilst you're on tour..which itself runs the risks of what happens if you need them to be sorted out. If you change them now you'll get at least some sort of bedding in period and can sort it out if any issues occur before you go. Oh and have a good trip
