Default Exhausted.....

Hi all, has anybody managed to fit the pointy exhaust to the much better looking curvy? if so how much needs to be altered, and id rather not touch the front downpipe.
Cheers.

come on somebody must have had a go at fitting a pointy exhaust to a curvy, since Suzuki no longer sell them.
ideally leaving the front cylinder alone as the nuts and studs don't look good.
This is not a "TROLL", I'm asking a question zsv650s.
cheers

Delkevic sells a full system for the curvy if you get desperate

Yeah , I got it was just a bit of banter..I just didn't know the answer. I guess zsv650s just couldn't believe someone actually though the curvys looked better.

It depends on the link pipe diameter at the oem downpipe outlet. I suppose you could find a shop that sells both and check the diameter.
I've just tried for you and found the below (or just part with £30-40 for a link pipe and you can buy any can).

https://www.lextekproducts.com/LNKPP080.php

The former doesn't state the header diameter unfortunately but the one for the pointy states 54mm. You could either measure your own or do some more googling.

I've got cracks just after the join to the front pipe. (NOT ME, THE BIKE).
I asked a welder and he said 20 year old stainless has been heat treated by the time and its durty inside the cracked so a good clean weld wont happen.

Sounds like you'll need a new link pipe. Why did you want a pointy one had you seen it cheap or something?
He could poss cut and patch it or sleeve it but it's a bodge and not good for performance.

Just found the answer courtesy of Mav

https://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=167081

So no, a pointy link pipe won't fit Curvy downpipe outlet (52mm). Either buy a new curvy link pipe and you can fit any old 51mm can or find a curvy second hand pair of the both can and link
