Re: Braided hose confusion
As I said, never use the over-the-mudguard setup. You can't bleed it properly. It's not hard to secure the two long lines from the master cylinder. Most places will sell you a kit with them the right lengths already - just specify your model.

Re: Braided hose confusion
the standard set up is over the fender and bleeds fine, i dont know where you're getting your info from, but it seems unlikely that it would cause a serious issue

Re: Braided hose confusion
Well you could search on here for the many previous threads on braided hoses, or perhaps it's from my own experience

Re: Braided hose confusion
I fitted new lines when I did the bar conversion and the kit I was supplied with was race setup. One slightly longer than the other and a few cable ties to fix together and nothing flaps about. Braided lines are fairly stiff things.

Re: Braided hose confusion
te standard setup has the splitter as the "highest" point of the second line so air can travel up and be bled from the master.
a double banjo caliper has the highest point in the u bend which would be an **** to bleed..... when i fitted my race lines i bought the hose mount bracket from the other leg and snipped and bent it a little and bolted to the missing splitter holster |

Re: Braided hose confusion
Yeah iv been thinking of using just standard clips too, but i wasnt sure how they sit, the OEM bracket is quite long and sits the hose out from the forks a ways, but i was worried the standard clips would pull the hose in too much
