Not something I'd personally consider doing.

If the other person bins the bike thats your day over.

my mate and I share a track bike (go 50/50 on everything for it), basically call them up - explain the situation and if its normally 100 quid - they'll charge you 110 (or 115) and put down both names - admin charge ! - you then share the sessions.
so you get half the time on the track but then over the year you just do more track days

we're doing this at Mallory in october and november...

That's not bad, so just over half price each, as long as the bike don't get binned.

Ahh right so it is an option, cool. Is that with a specific company?

Plowsie dont do it mate if you are in the same group you will get ****ed off for paying out to do half a day or half the time. If you are going to do it wait till you progerss into inters or fast. assuming your partner does not progress at the same speed that is.

track days are adictive mate, and once you get a taste road riding becomes boring.

Yeah, to be honest on a CB500, I should think brake fade will occur eventually. My missus is probably faster than me anyway (do not quote me on that). Suppose we'll have to do it on our own seperate bikes

Before I bought my bike in Oz, I did a track day and I hired a bike. They hired the same bike out to different riders in different groups. The bikes didn't overheat and had the advatage of having pre-warmed tyres when I went out

You still have to pay per rider though.
