Default Honest Opinion

Well the time has come to get rid of the SV. I'd just like to see what you all think it would be worth (I hear the laughter coming as I type this).

Good points:
2005 (06 plate)
13,500 miles (dunno if this is good, but its not bad)
Beowulf stubby can
rear seat cowl
Lower fairings
R&G crash bungs
Comes with 33bhp restrictor kit
recent service (oil, filter, plugs, cahin adjust etc)
Rear tyre nearly new, front tyre good

Bad points:
R&Gs rashed on both sides
Small scuff on right hand fairing
Crack in right hand fairing (brother+moped=poor sv)
Will need new chain and sprockets within the next few thousand miles

The big one:
The big ends bearings went during a wheelie. (don't say I'm not honest) the engine has since been replaced and has been good to me for well over 10,000 miles. The bike runs perfectly, has been serviced regularly, starts every time, and hasn't skipped a beat since.

The fork seals, wheel bearings, headstock bearings etc are all good. The bike will come with the original engine, which has a gearbox and clutch with 1500 miles on them.

considering the fact that the original engine is not in there, what would you think the value of the bike would be?

Thanks a lot.

Oh and if this is in the wrong section, please move it.

I'd also like to say, this bike has been ridden. I've used it in every weather situation imagineable, not sat in a garage. I learnt to get my knee down on it, I learnt how to ride a big bike on it. Everything i've learned has come from this bike, so it really has meant a lot to me in its time. Will be sad to see it go really.

2400-2800 I'd imagine, the higher amount would be easier if you took off the rashed R&Gs and fixed the crack in the fairing I'd imagine.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. Someone offered me £2000 for a quick sale and I nearly took them up on it.

If this site had a rep system you'd be given some. As we don't, all i can say is thanks. (that goes for anyone else who posts up too!)

I'm a curvy owner though so don't know the true value of a pointy, anywhere 2k + seems fair.

I had a scout about for similar bikes and they seem to be going for nearly £3k, so I went on the basis that a different engine knocked about £700 off the vaule, so was hoping for around the 2.3-2.5 figure.

I'd say £2000(or even less) is about right especially if one knew it's history.

Just found a seemingly immaculate 07 from delaer for £2800.

I wouldn't go for less than £2000, but I think even £2000 is low - I know Quiff is looking for around that for his 02 curvy with about the same mileage.

Why are you selling? Or more accurately...what are you swapping it for
