just back from the cinema. my son and I went to watch this today and I must say I really enjoyed it. Considering Harrison is getting on a bit - he is still pretty cool.
watching trailers - next film I want to see - Kung Fu Panda - looks hilarious. anyway that is the excitement over for my weekend - carry on |

Re: indiana jones
Just seen it.
Um, not sure what to make of it - it may be on a par with Temple of Doom. The plot got kinda lost in all the action. I liked all the subtle references to the Star Wars movies and to Back to the Future. |

Re: indiana jones
off to see the film with my brothers tonight. bearing in mind we must have watched the previous ones about 40 times each and can quote whole chunks, it seems like one of those things that has to be done!

Re: indiana jones
The middle's good. The start's a bit ropey, and the ending... Nah.
<spoilers> Indiana Jones lives in the real world, or always used to, so I didn't like psychics, space aliens, magnets that inexplicably attract lead and some steel but not most, being blown for miles through the air in a fridge and escaping without a cut... All things which could have been removed or written around without hurting the film. But the middle bits where it's just being Indy not the X-files, is pretty damn good. Especially once Harrison Ford remembers how to be Indy, in the first bit in the warehouse he just doesn't seem right at all. I did enjoy it, but it's not a patch on Raiders or the Last Crusade, Indy's always been silly but not ridiculous, funny but not slapstick.
