How much is it worth?
Hello all
I've been trying to sell my SV for about a fortnight and so far I've had no interest. Can any of you experts tell me roughly what you think it's worth. I've copied the description that i used when it was on ebay. thanks trev FOR SALE –2004 SUZUKI SV 650S SK3 IN SILVER 14000 MILES 10 MONTHS MOT/2 MONTHS TAX The bike is an SK3 but was first registered in 2004. It had two previous owners before me (in its first two years). I bought the bike in February 2006 from Perth Motorcycles. It has done 14000 miles and is in very good condition for a 2004 bike. The bike originated from Cupar Motorcycles (partnership with Perth motorcycles) and had all its early servicing/work done at either Cupar or Perth Motorcycles. The last two services have been carried out by me (i'm a maintenance engineer), mainly due to the fact that these bikes are so easy to work on. I have the full version of the Suzuki workshop service manual, the one used by the Suzuki service technicians. I will throw in a copy of that on CD rom. The bike had two new tyres fitted at the end of last year and they both have many miles left on them. The bike has always been garaged and was not used between November and March each year. The battery was on an optimate during the winter and the bike was started each week. After I wash the bike it is always treated with FS365 and all screws, bolts and nuts get a coating on ACF 50. There is a few pitt marks on the forks, but this is common on these bikes around this sort of age/mileage. There is a few small marks on the rear hugger where it came loose with the previous owner. There are also the odd little mark on the bike where a suicidal bug may have hit it, but no dents or scuffs. The bike comes with all original documents, copies of all MOTs, two keys, Suzuki workshop manual, Suzuki tool kit (under the pillion seat). The bike had a tail tidy conversion carried out during its first two years. I do not have the original parts as Perth Motorcycles did not have them when I bought it. Extras I’ve fitted – RG Crash bungs, Scottoiler and RG Bobbins. I’ve also recently replaced the grips and bar ends. I think I’ve got most things down but do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. If you want to see the bike before you bid contact me via email to arrange a viewing. Re: How much is it worth?
Yea had it on for £1895. It breaks my heart to let it go for anything less! Thats push bike money.
I looked at parkers but thought that was a bit low. I've stuck it on MCN, Pistonheads and Yamaha TDR 250 forum (thats my other bike). So come on guys, what should I expect for her? |

When advertising look at completed listings and what others are advertising for. Then aim to be in the lowest few prices if you want people to phone. Just don't get hagggled down.

Re: How much is it worth?
I would probably suggest the reason it didn't sell was due to your location. I wouldn't buy a bike i hadn't test rode/inspected. some People don't don't like to travel to get a bike either. 2 things you could try to entice people is: -
- If you want £1895 for it why not start your bidding at say £1700. - You could also offer delivery. Find out how much a courier/bike deliverer would charge and offer it as an option to the lucky winner. Sephy666 A bike/car is only worth as much as someone will pay for it! I'd suggest (IMO) yours could be worth between £1800 and £2200 depending on condtion etc. Last edited by cb1000rsteve; 20-07-10 at 07:10 AM. |
