Are these brake hoses on the right way?
The brake lines that is, are they the correct way round? I've lost the instructions (if they came with any) so am not sure.
Thanks - Si |

They're the wrong way around. If you check the one with the angled head then you'll find it's slightly longer than the other one - that's because it's got to run across to the LHS caliper which is further from the m/c.
Nice coloured lines, though |

Re: Are these brakes hoses on the right way?
ahh, tbh I had a thought they were wrong, these are new HEL's and are done up finger tight at best and are not connected at the caliper end yet as the calipers are still in bits. It's a set of one line to each side and after I put them on I half thought that the straight one should be on the left and the one with the kink should be on the right pointing out but I'm not sure. I think they will work either way round but would prefer to stick with convention. So should I switch them round?

Re: Are these brake hoses on the right way?
ok second time lucky, with any luck, the left on goes on the inside of the throttle cables and the right ones goes on the outside, any other way and one or the other pushes on the cables. Next moving down by the mudgard there seems to be a fair bow in the lines, is this normal?
so basically are the lines routed correctly? |

Re: Are these brake hoses on the right way?
Sorry for the bump but I wouldn't mind a yes/no on this one as I would like to tighten everything up tomorrow and put some fluid into the brakes, so if there's anyone in the know please shout. - Thanks - si
