Re: B*ll*cks
Definitely. It's going home when your mind starts to wander too. The whole thing wasn't helped by the Merc behind me with full beams on blinding me in my mirrors. I was trying to get some distance so I could see ahead of me properly. Over cooked a corner in the dark with bright light from behind. I should really have just pulled over and got him past me. |

Shoulder and elbow still getting physio mainly due to the break happening where the bisep attaches to the radius. I won't be winning any arm wrestling comps for a long time. Mr physio says to expect pain for at least a couple of years. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Re: B*ll*cks
Horlicks indeed!
Any time you stack it and walk away is a win though, at 35 and braking onto diesel you are pretty much guaranteed an off so don't feel too bad about it. Looking on the bright side, good time to join the ranks of trumpet riders |

Re: B*ll*cks
Sorry to hear this, Diesel spills claim another innocent victim, hope you OK and can get another bike at reasonable price..
I have hit Diesel spills on islands in a car at low speed and done a unexpected skid, ( once did a 180 and ended up at the exit i wanted but facing back into the island, had to do a quick 3 point turn to get back the way I wanted ) would not have been so fortunate on a bike. I hit a diesel spill on my Suzuki DRZ400 SM on our estate while negotiating a junction at low speed <20mph) and in 10 milliseconds I was following the bike across the road, I doubt ABS would have helped because I was not braking at the time, bike was fine except for a bit of abrasion on one of the metal bar end stoppers. Diesel and water emulsion has a lower co-efficient of friction than ice. I almost went base over apex on our local filling station last week due to diesel on the forecourt. I hate Diesels, was following a 55 plate BMW 1 series Diesel last night and had to drop back 100 metres because the exhaust smell was making me feel nauseous.

Re: B*ll*cks
Lady Poppy gets car sick if we follow a diesel so we often have to hang back a lot too. Thanks to the many hills around here in The Chilterns you often see cars trucks and buses struggling up hills with clouds of black smoke coming out of their exhaust, mainly due to poor maintenance and not being driven properly.

Re: B*ll*cks
Royal Enfield bikes used to advertised with the slogan 'Made like a gun', which of course led to the old joke: "Yes, they go bang a lot"
