Re: rear seat lock
I have a couple of SV locks mechanisms in the garage - cant remember how complete they are - the certainly dont have keys, is your barrel ok?
Also not sure if they are pointy or curvy parts I'll have a look and let you know in a bit - will rescue them from the garage and take them to work to inspect Where abouts are you?

Re: rear seat lock
Well I had a look and it seems I have 3 mechanisms, 2 for curvies and one for a pointy.
What I have is the bit that the seat locks into and the cable. I dont have the plate to hold the lock in place on the side panel - but that should be bodgeable - some wire should be bendable into shape to hold it I would have thought. Any use to you?

Re: rear seat lock
In that case then I think that you SHOULD be able to bodge something from some stiff wire using a pair of pliers to hold the lock in place.
The plate that is used in the OEM case is just a U-shaped piece of metal with a lip on on end and the "fork" ends kinked to put pressure on the inside of the fairing and hold it in place. Oh and BTW thanks - if I hadnt looked in that bag for the locks, I wouldn't have found the pair of bar-ends that I need for the rebuild of my SV -
