Rear seat lock not working.

Hi,

I took the fairing off yesterday to sort my rack out. When i came to getting my lock out from under it wouldnt unlock. i turned the key and its turning fine not unlocking the seat. does anyone know how to get in to the seat when the lock wont work?

I suspect you didn't hook the cable from the lock to the catch mechanism properly.

Now there is ALWAYS a way to sort it out - but without knowing whether its a pointy or a curvy you have, it's going to be hard for people to be able to advise.

Done the same thing myself last week to my curvy.
There is a little v shaped catch that the cable sits in just behind the lock.
Get a torch and look down the side of the fairing and try to pop it back in with a screwdriver. I did it after a few attempts, just your luck if it goes in easy or not.

It is a curvy. The annoying thing is, i didnt even take it off because i knew i would forget to re attach it and i would be locked out.

I will give that a try tonight and see if it works.
