Back a week Monday night, home again Tuesday pm. Meant to say f8 above but set to f11 on the shutter - the old DoF scales are all a stop too optimistic - try comparing 50mm on an SLR to 50mm on an old 1960s axe and you'll see what I mean! I just tried a few online calculators and am going to have to dig out a 105mm lens to check its scale as it could be the DoF scale on the Ensign is cobblers. Wouldn't surprise me!

I have been browsing Gumtree again and spotted a mint Olympus OM1, but it's £180.

Was talking to my dad earlier about the Ensign, and mentioned how the DoF scale is normally printed on the shutter, e.g. here where it's blank... so found a pen and drew on the scale. DOH should have thought of that earlier. Portra loaded, bags packed, ready to go. Smoke me a kipper!

How do you manage it Kenzie? That's awesome for an OM1 Bet you can't wait to play with that.
Good score on the OM10 too admin. I used one out here last year and it took some good pics.
Just about got used to the time difference now, well, I'm not waking up at 4am anymore. I haven't used any film yet but went out with the EM10 yesterday. Will see if I can upload a few random pics later but my laptop is really slow on the internet, even with vpn.
I found a shop selling a few second hand cameras. He had a Nikon fe2 for £70, and it's negotiable I think. They go for daft prices on ebay. No Seagulls spotted so far.

An OM1 for a tenner! What a great buy.
I bought a winder for the A1. It's not an oem one and it was sold as faulty, I took a punt at 99p. Managed to fix it. Broken wire on the motor and a screw was missing they holds the motor in place. I'm not sure I'll use it I bought it for the challenge.

I don't know tbh. It seems to be a "feeling" and I just go with it. I spotted it on the stall and I thought it was an OM10. Couldn't believe it when I saw what it was. Even better when she said the price. It was jammed up but a small chunk of metal acting as a stop was bent, so with a quick tweak it now works. Found a gear for the Yashica 44 and I am just filing it down to fit. Should have it up and running in no time. It was the last sale of the season and there were more cameras there today than I have ever seen. The stall I got the Yashica from has a Werra-Mat but she wanted £30. Saw an EOS 650 as well. Have you got an OM1 Yoko?

I don't have an OM1. While I might like one, I've got the OM2 and the very similar Pentax MX so can't really justify one, although if I saw one for a tenner, I could be convinced otherwise.
Actually, I just noticed, what's the lens on yours? Did it come with it? Doesn't look like the normal Zuiko 50.
