SV1000 into an SV650?
Just a thought, is it possible to fit an sv1000 engine into an sv650 frame? anybody know if its do-able and whats needed to do so? i.e different carbs etc? (im on about a pre injection sv..) cheers

I've seen a TL1000 engine in a curvy, it was in streetfighters years ago, but I don't think it was an easy job.

buy a tl thou and spend the saving putting a proper rear shock on it!!

It cost me £300 to upgrade to an SV1000. You'd be mad to convert for that money.

You need to mod and weld frame, fitting carbs to SV1000 is hard in itself, you could use firestorm carbs but I bet you would lose power as they're not big enough, you would need megajolt or something to do the spark for you. Guy who did it before used SV1000 TBs and ECU etc. Still muchos work and I don't think it was ever really "finished". You can tune the 650 to the point of being a grenade anyway

im 1 so cant insure an sv thou, was just a thought anyway not plannin on doin it, dont need a faster bike
was just a thought as to what can be swapped between the two
