Default Exhaust pipe cleaning: any ideas???

Hi guys,

Was just looking at some of the pictures in the gallery section of the site and noticed how clean the exhaust pipes are on some of the bikes.

Does anyone feel like offering their ideas on cleaning and keeping them clean?

Mine is a '02 S curvy.

Thanks in advance.

In repeated applications. Try not to get it on anything else and rinse well.

Easy to use make clean exhausts and downpipes a doddle, they sell it at HG as well.

wet and dry paper and elbow grease. cos the st/st is as extruded it,s quite rough, microscopically,so discolours very easily. if you start with a medium wet and dry of say 400 to 600 and then work up to 1200 and then 1200 with wd or similar and then autosol it will come up like a new pin. once this has been done which does take a fair effort it only takes the odd polish to keep it shiny. in between polishes just wash it with a quality wash n wax car shampoo. this is what i do and several people have commented on how clean it is.
